Description

This tall Swedish secretaire chest of drawers, made from rich golden elm around 1870, offers generous proportions and handsome Empire character. Six equal drawers are fitted with wooden handles and working locks, while the third drawer pulls out and drops down to reveal a writing surface and fitted interior of seven small drawers with central storage. Fully re-finished in our workshop, it stands ready for everyday use.

WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS STUNNING CHEST SWEDISH CHEST OF DRAWERS OF GENEROUS PROPORTIONS.

MADE FROM A RICH GOLDEN ELM AND FEATURING 6 DRAWERS OF EQUAL PROPORTIONS, WITH THE ADDED FEATURE OF A SECRETAIRE IN THE 3RD DRAWER DOWN. EACH DRAWER FITTED WITH WOODEN HANDLES AND WORKING LOCKS AND KEY.

SECRETAIRE DRAWER PULLS OUT AND THE DRAWER FRONT DROPS DOWN TO PROVIDE A WRITING SURFACE AND ACCESS TO THE FITTED INTERIOR OF 7 DRAWERS AND CENTRAL STORAGE AREA. ALL RAISED ON 4 BLOCK FEET.

FULLY RE-FINISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE. SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK, MINOR RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK. BEAUTIFUL PIECE OF FURNITURE WHICH HAS PLENTY OF STORAGE POTENTIAL.
