SWEDISH MID 20TH CENTURY ELM TAMBOUR FRONT LOW OPEN BOOKCASE CIRCA 1950.

WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS FINE PIECE OF SCANDINAVIAN DESIGN WHICH HAS BEEN FULLY RESTORED IN OUR WORKSHOP, WITH IT’S GENEROUS LENGTH AND NARROW DEPTH, IT PROVIDES THE PERFECT STORAGE SOLUTION FOR SMALLER SPACES.

SHAPED ELM TOP WHICH IS 1 SINGLE PIECE OF CONTINUOUS VENEER. BELOW THE TOP SURFACE IN THE CENTRE ARE 2 DRAWERS, WITH STRINGING DETAIL, BRASS KEYHOLE WITH WORKING LOCKS. DIRECTLY BELOW A SINGLE ADJUSTABLE SHELF FOR BOOK OR ORNAMENT DISPLAY. ON EACH END IS AN AALTO INSPIRED TAMBOUR DOOR, WHICH ROLLS BACK TO REVEAL 2 SHELVES IN EACH, OR COULD BE REMOVED IF NOT REQUIRED.
