This Swedish painted pine wall cupboard, circa 1820, carries its original plum paint and a quiet folk art character. A cornice runs around the top and bottom edges above double doors that open to a single fixed shelf, with a working lock and key. Showing honest losses to the paint and surface marks consistent with its age, it remains in original condition throughout.

PRESENTED IN IT’S ORIGINAL PAINT. CORNICE AROUND THE TOP AND BOTTOM EDGEM, WITH DOUBLE DOOR’S WHICH OPEN TO REVEAL AN INTERIOR OF A SINGLE FIXED SHELF.

THIS PIECE WOULD BE IDEAL IN THE CLOAKROOM OR HALLWAY. WORKING LOCK AND KEY.

OBVIOUS LOSSES TO PAINT, SURFACE MARKS AND LOSSES TO WOODWORK, EXPECTED SHRINKAGE TO WOODWORK, STAINING TO INTERIOR.

IDEALLY WOULD NEED TO BE FITTED WITH A CONTEMPORARY LATCH TO HOLD THE LEFT HAND DOOR CLOSED, ADDITIONALLY A MODERN FITMENT WOULD BE NEEDED IF SECURING TO A WALL.
