Description

This Scandinavian coffee table, circa 1950, is a beautiful Art Deco inspired piece in elm and birch. Segmented elm veneers fan out from the centre, with birch stringing and cross banding in a striking fish scale type wood. It stands on a turned and fluted stem above a quadriform base with scrolled feet, its rich golden colour recently refreshed by re-polishing in our workshop.

BEAUTIFUL ART DECO INSPIRED SWEDISH COFFEE TABLE. SEGMENTED ELM VENEERS FAN OUT FROM THE CENTRE, BIRCH STRINGING AND CROSS BANDED WITH A STUNNING UNKNOWN FISH SCALE TYPE WOOD. SUPPORTED BY A TURNED AND FLUTED STEM AND STANDING ON A QUADRIFORM BASE, WITH FURTHER ELM VENEER WORK AND SCROLLED FEET.
