Description

This Scandinavian painted pine occasional table, circa 1890, has a rustic character with an over-sailing three-plank pine top and deep apron standing on four cabriole legs. The base is painted white, with black showing through beneath, and the top reveals two layers of previous paint scraped back; it could be taken back to bare pine if desired. There are obvious losses to the paintwork and minor surface marks to the woodwork.

OVER SAILING 3 PLANK PINE TOP, WITH 2 LAYERS OF PREVIOUS PAINT SCRAPED BACK. THIS COULD BE FULLY TAKEN BACK TO BARE PINE IF DESIRED. BASE PAINTED IN WHITE, WITH CLEAR EVIDENCE OF BLACK SHOWING THROUGH UNDERNEATH. DEEP APRON, STANDING ON 4 CABRIOLE LEGS.
