Description

A striking pair of German rangefinder flak binoculars, circa 1941, in polished steel and offered in original condition with their original lenses and Bakelite swing-down sunshade aperture plates. Used during the Second World War for directing accurate anti-aircraft fire, they carry an impressive 12 x 60 range and are now supplied on a polished steel tripod of the same period, the original having been wooden. Minor surface marks and very slight fading to the rubber blinkers speak honestly to their age.

ORIGINAL TRIPOD WOULD HAVE BEEN WOODEN, BUT SUPPLIED ON A POLISHED STEEL TRIPOD OF THE SAME PERIOD.

MINOR SURFACE MARKS, EXPECTED VERY MINOR SPLITS AND FADING TO RUBBER BLINKERS.
