Description

This mid century Swedish birch bookcase, circa 1950, is a good example of Swedish design, offering generous storage without taking up too much space. Veneered in golden birch and raised on fluted block feet, it features two drawers below the top surface, a single door cupboard with two shelves to the right, and an adjustable shelf in the main open section. Recently re-polished in our workshop, it shows one small minor age split to the top surface, which is non structural.

GOOD EXAMPLE OF SWEDISH DESIGN, WHICH OFFERS MAXIMUM STORAGE WITHOUT TAKING TOO MUCH SPACE.

RECTANGULAR SHAPE, VENEERED IN A GOLDEN BIRCH. 2 DRAWERS BELOW THE TOP SURFACE WITH A SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE WHICH OPENS TO REVEAL 2 SHELVES. MAIN OPEN STORAGE SPACE CONTAINS AN ADJUSTABLE SHELF FOR BOOK DISPLAY OR ORNAMENTS. RAISED ON FLUTED BLOCK FEET.

RECENTLY RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP. 1 SMALL MINOR AGE SPLIT TO TOP SURFACE WHICH IS NON STRUCTURAL, WHICH IS PHOTOGRAPHED.
