Description

This mid century elm low open bookcase by Swedish designer Ferdinand Lundquist, circa 1950, is a piece of very good quality with an unusual stepped front. The single-piece elm veneered top shows the full size of the timber, while a cupboard with two shelves and two further adjustable shelves offers practical storage. Standing on six tapered legs, it retains its original key and designer's label. Recently re-polished in our workshop, it has a very minor non-structural age split to the top surface and minor surface marks.

MADE IN ELM, WITH AN UNUSUAL STEPPED FRONT. 1 PIECE ELM VENEERED TOP SURFACE WHICH SHOWS THE FULL SIZE OF THE TIMBER USED. SINGLE DOOR CUPBOARD OPENS TO 2 SHELVES, WITH A FURTHER 2 ADJUSTABLE SHELVES IN THE MAIN BODY. STANDING ON 6 TAPERED LEGS.

COMPLETE WITH ORIGINAL KEY AND DESIGNERS LABEL ON THE INSIDE OF DOOR.

RECENTLY RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP, VERY MINOR NON STRUCTURAL AGE SPLIT TO TOP SURFACE WHICH IS PHOTOGRAPHED. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK.
