Description

This mid century sideboard by Tingstroms of Valdemarsvik, Sweden, dates to circa 1960 and is veneered in elm with stringing and a burr border to the lower edge of the doors and sides. Likely made originally as a cutlery buffet, it offers a bank of five drawer slides with a shelf each side, working lock and key, turned handles and fluted legs. Fully restored and hand re-polished to a rich golden colour, it shows only minor surface marks to the top.

VENEERED IN ELM AND COMPLIMENTED WITH STRINGING AND A BURR BORDER TO THE BOTTOM EDGE OF THE DOORS AND SIDES. WORKING LOCK AND KEY. A PAIR OF TURNED HANDLES ALLOW ACCESS TO THE INTERIOR OF A BANK OF 5 DRAWER SLIDES AND A SHELF EACH SIDE. RAISED ON 4 FLUTED LEGS. MAKERS LABEL INSIDE ONE OF THE DRAWERS.

FULLY RESTORED AND HAND RE-POLISHED, RICH GOLDEN COLOUR AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO TOP SURFACE.
