Description

This Swedish pine chest of drawers, circa 1960, celebrates the timber's grain and warm colour rather than concealing it — a refreshing choice for a model that would typically have been painted. It has a contrasting darker teak top, three graduating drawers with oak handles flanking brass keyholes, and stands on four tapered legs. Recently re-finished in our workshop, it is ready for everyday use.

UNUSUAL MID CENTURY CHEST OF DRAWERS THAT EMBRACES THE PINE GRAIN AND COLOUR RATHER THAN TRY AND HIDE IT. THIS MODEL WOULD HAVE USUALLY BEEN PAINTED OVER BUT IS PRESENTED IN A NATURAL COLOUR WITH POLISHED FINISH.

CONTRASTING DARKER TEAK RECTANGULAR TOP. FITTED WITH 3 GRADUATING DRAWERS BELOW EACH FITTED WITH 2 OAK HANDLES EITHER SIDE OF THE BRASS KEYHOLE. CHEST IS SUPPORTED BY 4 TAPERED LEGS.
