Description

This Swedish elm coffee table, circa 1960, is an unusual and characterful piece of mid century design. The quarter veneered elm top is protected by a fitted glass set just below the moulded edge, and the table offers storage at all four corners: two lockable cupboards with interior shelves, an external drawer with storage above and below, and a single open shelf for books. Standing on shaped feet with concealed castors behind, it has been recently re-finished in our workshop and shows a rich golden colour with only very minor surface marks from use.

UNUSUAL PIECE OF MID CENTURY FURNITURE, WHICH OFFERS A FEATURE FOR STORAGE ON ALL 4 CORNERS. FEATURES 2 LOCKABLE CUPBOARDS WITH INTERIOR SHELVES, 1 EXTERNAL DRAWER WITH STORAGE TOP AND BOTTOM AND A SINGLE OPEN SHELF FOR BOOK STORAGE.

QUARTER VENEERED ELM TOP SURFACE WHICH IS PROTECTED WITH A FITTED PIECE GLASS, WHICH FITS JUST BELOW THE MOULDED EDGE. STANDING ON 4 SHAPED FEET, WITH CONCEALED CASTORS BEHIND, MAKING THE TABLE MOVEABLE ON THE FLOOR IF DESIRED.

RECENTLY RE-FINISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE. RICH GOLDEN COLOUR, VERY MINOR SURFACE MARKS FROM USE.
