Description

This carved Scandinavian chest of drawers, dating to circa 1940, is crafted in walnut and designed in the Rococo Revival style. A drop-down front conceals two fitted birch drawers, while canted corners carry applied carvings, with swags and lion heads to the front and carved fish on the feet. The top drawer holds a later cutlery insert that could easily be removed if desired. Working locks and key, recently re-polished and ready for everyday use.

DESIGNED IN THE ROCOCO STYLE WITH DROP DOWN FRONT TO REVEAL 2 FITTED BIRCH DRAWERS. CANTED CORNERS WITH APPLIED CARVINGS. APPLIED SWAG CARVINGS TO THE FRONT WITH LION HEADS. STANDING ON 4 LEGS WITH CARVED FISH ON THE FEET.

TOP DRAWER WITH A LATER CUTLERY INSERT INSIDE, BUT THIS COULD EASILY BE REMOVED IF DESIRED.
