MID 20TH CENTURY BIRCH CHEST OF DRAWERS AXEL LARSSON CIRCA 1940.

GOOD QUALITY SWEDISH CHEST OF DRAWERS ATTRIBUTED TO AXEL LARSSON. LARSSON SPENT MANY YEARS WORKING WITH BODAFORS FROM THE 1920’S TO THE MID 1950’S.

RECTANGULAR 1 PIECE VENEERED TOP SURFACE WITH A WALNUT EDGE. BELOW WHICH ARE 3 DRAWERS OF EQUAL PROPORTIONS, EACH FITTED WITH A PAIR OF SOLID BIRCH HANDLES. STANDING ON 4 FLUTED LEGS. TIMBER IS CUT AT AN ANGLE TO MAXIMISE THE EFFECT OF THE GRAIN.

RICH GOLDEN COLOUR AND RECENTLY RE-FINISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP.

SLIGHT UNDULATIONS TO THE TOP SURFACE WHICH HAS BECOME PART OF THE PIECE OVER TIME, VERY MINOR SURFACE MARKS.
