Description

This red art glass jug by the Swedish designer Monica Bratt dates to circa 1954 and is decorated in gilt around the top, with initials and date applied to the front. Bratt worked mainly in glassware at the Reijmyre Glassworks, and this piece shows minor expected wear to the gilding consistent with age.

FINE QUALITY RED GLASS JUG BY THE WELL RESPECTED DESIGNER MONICA BRATT. DECORATED IN GILT AROUND THE TOP, AND INITIALED ON THE FRONT ‘JK’ 1954 10/2 ON THE FRONT. A FINE EXAMPLE.
