Description

This Swedish work table, made from beautiful burr birch around 1850, began life as a sewing table and would now sit happily as a lamp or side table. The lid opens to reveal a partitioned interior with a mirror on the underside, and it stands on a turned tripod base with three scrolled legs. There are some losses and restoration to the top surface, though it stands straight and true.

BEAUTIFUL SEWING TABLE WHICH COULD NOW FUNCTION AS A LAMP/SIDE TABLE. MADE FROM STUNNING BURR BIRCH. LID TOP OPENS TO REVEAL A PARTITION INTERIOR WITH LATER PURPLE STAIN AND A MIRROR ON THE UNDERSIDE OF THE LID.

STANDING ON A TURNED TRIPOD BASE SUPPORTED BY 3 SCROLLED LEGS.

SOME LOSSES AND RESTORATION TO TOP SURFACE. LEGS WITH NATURAL AGE WARPING BUT STANDS STRAIGHT AND TRUE.
