Description

This mid 19th century Swedish chest of drawers, circa 1860, is a good quality birch commode fitted with three near equally sized drawers that open on the key, with working locks and key supplied. The rectangular moulded top sits above rounded front edges, standing on rounded block feet. Recently re-polished by hand in our workshop to maintain its original golden colour, it shows minor restorations to the woodwork, minor surface marks and slight natural warping to the drawer fronts — a functional piece ready for everyday use.

RECTANGULAR TOP WITH MOULDED EDGE, WITH THE 3 DRAWERS RUNNING DIRECTLY BELOW, ROUNDED EDGES TO THE FRONT SIDES. STANDING ON ROUNDED BLOCK FEET. WORKING LOCKS AND KEY.

RECENTLY RE-POLISHED BY HAND IN OUR WORKSHOP TO MAINTAIN IT’S ORIGINAL GOLDEN COLOUR. MINOR RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK, MINOR SURFACE MARKS, MINOR EVIDENCE OF DEAD INACTIVE/TREATED WORM. SLIGHT NATURAL WARPING TO DRAWER FRONTS, FUNCTIONAL PIECE OF FURNITURE READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
