MID 19TH CENTURY MAHOGANY BOWFRONT SIDEBOARD CIRCA 1850.

GOOD QUALITY BOWFRONT SIDEBOARD/SERVING TABLE FROM THE MID 19TH CENTURY.

1 PIECE MAHOGANY TOP, SHOWING THE WHOLE GRAIN OF THE TREE, WITH A BOXWOOD STRUNG DETAILING AROUND THE OUTER EDGE. BELOW WHICH ARE 3 DRAWERS WITH COCK BEADED EDGING AND RESTORED TO HAVING KNOB HANDLES LIKE IT WOULD HAVE DONE ORIGINALLY. THESE KNOBS ARE OF THE PERIOD. EACH DRAWER FITTED WITH ORIGINAL BRASS KEY HOLE, ORIGINAL LOCKS PRESENT, NO KEY, BUT ONE COULD BE MADE IF REQUESTED. STANDING ON 4 TAPERING LEGS.

IDEAL FOR USE IN THE DINING ROOM AS A SERVING TABLE OR AS A SIDEBOARD IN THE LIVING ROOM OR HALLWAY.

EXPECTED MINOR SURFACE MARKS FROM USE AND OLD RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK, TOP HAS RECENTLY BEEN RE-FINISHED AND THE PIECE IS READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
