LARGE 19TH CENTURY BURMESE COLONIAL HABERDASHERY CABINET CIRCA 1880.

HERE WE OFFER A FINE EXAMPLE OF WHERE ENGLISH REGENCY STYLE FURNITURE MEETS ORIENTAL INFLUENCE.

WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS PIECE IN TOTAL ORIGINAL CONDITION APART FROM 2 GLAZED PANELS. MADE WHEN THE BRITISH RULED IN BURMA IT’S HARD TO IGNORE THE TYPICAL ELEGANCE OF THE REGENCY PERIOD MIXED WITH THE ORIENTAL WOODS AND CABINET MAKING.

COMPRISING OF 2 SECTIONS. TOP SECTION OF 2 DOUBLE DOOR GLAZED DOORS CONTAINING A BANK OF 48 DRAWERS WITH BRASS RING HANDLES. BOTTOM SECTION WITH A DOUBLE DOOR CUPBOARD CONTAINING A SINGLE SHELF WITH CENTRAL PARTITION.

STANDING ON A PLINTH BASE.
