HIGH VICTORIAN CARVED WALNUT CHAISE LOUNGE CIRCA 1870.
BEAUTIFUL QUALITY CHAISE IN CARVED WALNUT AND PRESENTED IN A STRIKING PATTERNED FABRIC. SERPENTINE SHAPED WITH THE CHAIRBACK TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE, WITH BUTTON BACK DETAILING. PARTIAL SHOWFRAME, WHICH ALLOWS THE CARVED ARMS TO BECOME A FEATURE AND LINK DOWN THE CABRIOLE LEGS. CARVED FRONT FRIEZE AND STANDING ON 4 CARVED LEGS COMPLETE WITH THE ORIGINAL CERAMIC CASTORS.
UPHOLSTERY IS IN GOOD ORDER AND COVERED IN AN EXPENSIVE VELOUR LIKE FABRIC, DEEP RED BASE COLOUR WITH GOLD FLORALS, FINISHED WITH A WIDE GOLD BRAID.
WOULD SIT EQUALLY WELL IN THE HOME OR IN A HOTEL SETTING.
VERY MINOR SURFACE MARKS, OVERALL VERY GOOD CONDITION.
