Description

This rare and unusual Spanish figure planter, circa 1920, is hand painted in plum tones and dressed in traditional Spanish costume, with a folk art character that makes it a truly distinctive piece. The figure stands on a cast palm tree base with three deep holes for holding palm branches. There has been restoration to the wrist of one hand and the fingers of the other, yet it remains in remarkable condition for its material, with some expected rubbing and fading to the paint.
