EARLY 19TH CENTURY OAK EXTENDING DINING TABLE CIRCA 1830.
BEAUTIFUL QUALITY RUSTIC OAK TABLE WHICH IS FULL OF CHARACTER. MADE FROM SOLID OAK AND FITTED WITH A DRAW LEAF EACH END WHICH ALLOWS THE TABLE TO EXTEND TO NEARLY 11 FOOT IN LENGTH, SEATING 12 PEOPLE.
OAK PLANK TOP AND LEAVES, SUPPORTED BY 4 TURNED BARREL LEGS, UNITED BY A SHAPED STRETCHER.
SURFACE MARKS, NATURAL SHRINKAGE, MINOR LOSSES AND OLD HISTORICAL REPAIRS TO TOP SURFACES. ALTERATIONS UNDERNEATH THE TABLE TO ALLOW THE LEAVES TO RUN FREELY. MINOR LOSSES TO LEGS TO BOTTOM OF LEGS FROM OLD INACTIVE TREATED WORM. STRUCTURALLY STRONG AND AFTER 200 YEARS, STILL READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
