Description

This Regency mahogany sofa table, circa 1810, is a good quality piece of the early 19th century. The flame mahogany top and drop-flap leaves are cross-banded with stringing, opening to reveal a drawer each side with dummy drawers alongside. Raised on splayed legs with brass castors, it shows natural warp to the leaves and minor surface marks, and has been recently hand re-polished in our workshop, ready for everyday use.

GOOD QUALITY REGENCY PERIOD MAHOGANY SOFA TABLE. FLAME MAHOGANY TOP AND LEAVES WITH CROSS BANDED EDGE AND STRINGING. D SHAPED DROP DOWN FLAPS, THAT OPEN. FITTED WITH A DRAWER EACH SIDE, WITH A DUMMY DRAWER ALONG SIDE EACH. SUPPORTED BY 4 SCROLLS SITTING ON A SPLAYED LEG, RAISED ON BRASS CASTORS.

LENGTH EXTENDED: 65 1/2″

NATURAL WARP TO EACH LEAF WHICH IS VISIBLE IN THE PHOTOGRAPHS. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK. RECENTLY HAND RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
