Description

This early 19th century Flemish carved walnut side table, circa 1820, is a characterful piece in the Gothic Revival taste. The top has an inset leather panel within a walnut border, above a profusely carved drawer flanked by grotesques and fitted with a later brass handle. It stands on barley twist legs and stretchers with ball feet, showing restored age splits to the top, minor losses, restorations and surface staining.
