19TH CENTURY TALL BURR WALNUT CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1870.
FINE QUALITY SWEDISH MADE CHEST OF DRAWERS VERY MUCH IN THE VICTORIAN TASTE.
PLAIN SOLID WALNUT TOP WITH MOULDED EDGE, BELOW WHICH ARE 6 DRAWERS OF EQUAL PROPORTIONS, CENTRAL DECORATIVE GILT ESCUTHEON PLATE. TYPICAL FOR SCANDINAVIAN DRAWERS NOT TO BE FITTED WITH KNOBS AND OPEN ON THE KEY. FRONT EDGES ARE OF A CANTED SHAPE, WHICH ALLOWS THE PIECE TO BE DECORATED WITH APPLIED CARVING. RAISED ON 4 BLOCK FEET.
CHEST LENDS ITSELF PERFECTLY FOR THE BEDROOM PROVIDING MAXIMUM STORAGE FOR CLOTHES AND LINENS.
RECENTLY FULLY RESTORED IN OUR WORKSHOP AND RE-POLISHED.
