19TH CENTURY PAINTED OAK BOWFRONT CHEST OF DRAWERS CIRCA 1880.

FINE QUALITY SOLID OAK CHEST OF DRAWERS. TOP SURFACE WITH MOLDED EDGE LEADS DOWN TO THE BOWFRONT SHAPED FRONT, FITTED WITH 4 GRADUATING DRAWERS. EACH DRAWER FITTED WITH ORNATE BRASS HANDLES AND SHIELD SHAPED ESCUTHEON’S.

STANDING ON 2 TURNED FRONT LEGS, WITH BLOCK FEET TO THE REVERSE.

LIKELY TO HAVE BEEN PAINTED AROUND THE MID 20TH CENTURY, WHICH HAS SINCE FADED AND RUBBED AWAY, GIVING IT A DESIRABLE APPEARANCE. IDEAL FOR USE IN MANY ROOMS AROUND THE HOME, SUCH AS THE BEDROOM, HALLWAY OR HOME OFFICE.
