Description

This Swedish pine tine box, circa 1860, is a charming piece of folk art woodenware retaining its original blue painted scheme. Traditionally used for the secure storage of valuables or food, it still functions with its self-locking lid. There are expected surface marks and minor staining, an age split to the top with an old metalwork repair, and minor loss to the wood on the front edge.
