Description

This narrow Flemish cabinet in oak, dating to circa 1890, is a handsome example of Gothic Revival craftsmanship. Profusely carved with lion heads and brass ring details, it rarely survives with its original stained glass panel in the top section, here arranged in a green, yellow and red pattern. The glazed door opens to reveal two shelves above a lower door with geometric moulding, all standing on a shaped plinth. Minor surface marks are in keeping with its age and use.

NARROW FLEMISH CABINET COMPRISING OF 2 SECTIONS, WHICH RARELY COMES WITH ITS ORIGINAL STAINED GLASS PANEL IN THE TOP SECTION. PROFUSELY CARVED WITH LION HEADS AND BRASS RING DETAILS. GLAZED DOOR OPENS TO REVEAL 2 SHELVES. STAINED GLASS ARRANGED IN A GREEN, YELLOW AND RED PATTERN.

BOTTOM WITH GEOMETRIC MOULDING TO THE DOOR FRONT WHICH OPENS TO A SINGLE SHELF.

STANDING ON A SHAPED PLINTH.

MINOR SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE.
