Description

This Victorian embossed copper cooking pot, circa 1870, is a handsome piece of handmade metalware with riveted copper ring handles and decorative hammered patterning. Retaining its original patina and rounded base, it shows expected wear and slight misshapenness from years of use, and could now serve as a characterful log bin among other possibilities.

GOOD QUALITY DECORATIVE COPPER COOKING POT. HANDMADE WITH COPPER RINGED HANDLES WHICH ARE RIVOTTED IN PLACE, COMPLETE WITH DECORATIVE HAMMERED PATTERNS.

ROUNDED BOTTOM AS IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WHILE BEING USED FOR COOKING. COULD NOW BE USED AS A LOG BIN AMOUNG OTHER POSSIBILITIES.

EXPECTED WEAR AND SURFACE MARKS, SLIGHTLY MISSHAPEN FROM YEARS OF USE. ORIGINAL PATINA.
