Description

This Danish polished steel safe, circa 1890, is a fine quality piece of Victorian metalwork. The steel has been stripped back to reveal its polished surface, and the door opens on the key to an original painted interior with a further brass decorated lockable drawer. It stands on its original black lacquered pine base cabinet, which locks and contains a single fixed shelf.

FINE QUALITY DANISH SOLID STEEL SAFE ON LACQUERED PINE BASE CABINET. METALWORK HAS BEEN STRIPPED BACK TO REVEAL THE POLISHED STEEL SURFACE. DOOR OPENS ON THE KEY TO REVEAL THE ORIGINAL PAINTED INTERIOR, WITH THE MAIN STORAGE SPACE AND A FURTHER BRASS DECORATED LOCKABLE DRAWER. COMES COMPLETE WITH IT’S ORIGINAL BLACK LACQUERED PINE BASE CABINET WHICH ITSELF LOCKS AND CONTAINS A SINGLE FIXED SHELF.

THE 1 KEY IS MARKED WITH A FADED MAKERS NAME AND KOBENHAVEN.

OBVIOUSLY A VERY HEAVY ITEM.
