Description

This 19th century Chippendale revival card table, circa 1880, is a good quality mahogany piece strong in the Chippendale taste. The shaped flip-over top is supported by a swing-back leg when open, revealing a playing surface with four corner dishes and four genuine wells. It stands on four carved cabriole legs with ball and claw feet. The original green baize is faded and would ideally benefit from replacement, with minor surface marks to the woodwork.

A GOOD QUALITY CARD TABLE STRONG IN THE CHIPPENDALE TASTE. SHAPED FLIP OVER TOP WHICH IS SUPPORTED BY SWING BACK LEG WHEN OPEN. PLAYING SURFACE WITH 4 CORNER DISHES AND 4 GENUINE WELLS.

SUPPORTED ON 4 CABRIOLE LEGS WITH CARVING ON THE KNEE AND STANDING ON BALL AND CLAW FEET.

GREEN PLAYING BAIZE IS FADED AND IDEALLY IN KNEE OF REPLACEMENT, BUT IS THE ORIGINAL. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK.
