19TH CENTURY BIRCH AND BURR LYRE SIDE TABLE CIRCA 1880.
GOOD QUALITY SWEDISH LYRE FORM SIDE TABLE MADE IN BIRCH. BURR BIRCH HEXAGONAL VENEERED TOP WHICH SLIGHTLY OVER SAILS THE SINGLE DRAWER TO THE FRONT, WHICH IS COMPLETE WITH WORKING LOCK AND KEY.
TOP IS SUPPORTED BY LYRE FORM INSTRUMENT WHICH IS DECORATED WITH BRASS STRINGS AND EBONISED ELEMENTS. STANDING ON A QUADRIFORM BASE WITH SCROLLING FEET.
MANY POSSIBLE USES FOR THIS TABLE AROUND THE HOME SUCH AS A LAMP/HALL TABLE.
RICH GOLDEN COLOUR, RECENTLY RE-FINISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP. EXPECTED MINOR SURFACE MARKS FROM AGE. SLIGHT NATURAL WARP THE BASE, WHICH IS NORMAL FOR TABLES OF THIS CONSTRUCTION, BUT STANDS WELL AND TRUE.
