Description

A mid century Swedish harlequin wall mirror, circa 1950, stamped Aa.kval on the reverse with the approval mark of Sveriges Spegelfabrikers Förening, the Swedish Mirror Manufacturers Association, denoting premium quality. Cut mirrored glass is arranged around the main plate and held by chromed screw-in studs within a light oak frame. There is one small wood restoration to a top corner, expected plate fading and minor surface marks.

AA MEANING THAT IT’S A PREMIUM LEVEL OF MIRROR. THERE IS ALSO A PAPER MAKERS LABEL ON THE BACK WHICH READS STILETTO.

KNOWN AS A HARLEQUIN MIRROR WITH IT’S ARRANGED CUT MIRRORED GLASS AROUND THE MAIN BODY OF MIRROR. HELD IN PLACE BY CHROMED SCREW IN STUDS. PRESENTED IN A LIGHT OAK FRAME.

ONE SMALL WOOD RESTORATION TO TOP CORNER. EXPECTED PLATE FADING IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE. MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK.
