Description

This 19th century Swedish oval occasional table, circa 1870, is veneered in burr birch with an inlaid segmented diamond to the centre and a rich wheat colour. It has just undergone a full restoration in our workshop, including hand re-polishing, woodwork repairs and strengthening to the base. The gadrooned edge over-sails a moulded frieze with concealed drawer, standing on a turned stem with three scrolling legs and later ebonised ball feet.

WE ARE PLEASED TO OFFER THIS BURR BIRCH TABLE THAT HAS JUST UNDERGONE A FULL RESTORATION IN OUR WORKSHOP.

OVAL SHAPED AND VENEERED IN BURR BIRCH WITH AN INLAID SEGMENTED DIAMOND SHAPE IN THE CENTER. GADROONED EDGE SLIGHTLY OVER-SAILS THE SHAPED MOULDED FREIZE , WHICH CONTAINS A CONCEALED DRAWER TO THE FRONT. STANDING ON A TURNED STEM AND SUPPORTED BY 3 SCROLLING LEGS, TERMINATING ON EBONISED BALL FEET.

FULLY RE-POLISHED BY HAND, RESTORATIONS TO WOODWORK, STRENGTHENING TO BASE WHICH DID HAVE SOME AGE SPLITS. LATER APPLIED EBONISED BALL FEET.

RICH GOLDEN COLOUR MAINTAINED, IDEAL FOR MULTIPLE ROOMS AND FUNCTIONS AROUND THE HOME.
