Description

This good quality pair of show frame wing back armchairs, circa 1890, combines oak with original brown leather embossed with a fish and shell design set within a circular ornate border. The carved arms and front legs carry an Art Nouveau feel, each with hand carved elements terminating on a paw foot. The leather remains in good condition for age, with typical staining and patina, some plucking to the front of one chair, and minor surface marks to the woodwork.
