Description

This Swedish pine strong box, circa 1860, is a fine example of the traditional shaped form with domed lid. Painted in a vivid brown with blackened metalwork, it opens to reveal a striking blue interior. The lock is no longer present and there are minor losses to the metalwork around the base, alongside expected surface marks and fading, making it best suited as a decorative piece.
