Description

This Scandinavian painted pine strongbox, circa 1840, is a good quality rustic Swedish piece in the Gustavian style, finished in black with its original metal strap work. The flat top allows it to serve as a side table, while the hinged lid opens to a bare pine interior fitted with an open partition. Showing losses to the paintwork and some rusting to the metalwork, it remains sound and ready for everyday use.

OBVIOUS LOSSES TO PAINTWORK, LOSSES AND RUSTING TO METALWORK. NO WORKING LOCK. STILL FUNCTIONS AND READY FOR EVERYDAY USE.
