FINE QUALITY DROPLEAF TABLE FROM THE END OF THE CHIPPENDALE PERIOD CIRCA 1780.
SOLID MAHOGANY TOP WHICH FORMS A NEAR CIRCLE WHEN OPENED OUT. SWING OUT LEGS EACH SIDE PROVIDE SUPPORT THE LEAVES FOR IT TO PERFORM AS AN OCCASIONAL DINING TABLE. BEAUTIFULLY CARVED CABRIOLE LEGS WITH A DEEP ACANTHUS LEAF ON THE KNEE, FINISHING WITH A BALL AND CLAW FOOT.
RICH COLOUR AND PATINA, RECENTLY RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP.
EXPECTED MINOR SURFACE MARKS IN LINE WITH AGE AND USE, READY FOR EVERYDAY USE IN THE HOME.
