Description

This Victorian fruitwood desktop box, circa 1890, is covered with marquetry on all surfaces, with a sloped front and decorative star panel. The top opens to reveal a partially fitted interior containing a candle box, equally suited today to stationery storage. It shows expected surface marks and fading, with minor loss to the woodwork on the back and some loss to polish.
