Description

This Scandinavian painted oak barrel dates to circa 1870 and was originally used for storing and ageing spirits. Hand painted in traditional plum tones with metal strap work, it has a lead-lined entrance for the cork, the original of which now sits inside the barrel. A charming rustic miniature with good decorative character.

BEAUTIFUL MINIATURE OAK BARREL USED FOR STORAGE AND AGEING OF SPIRITS. HAND PAINTED IN TRADITIONAL COLOURS, WITH METAL STRAP WORK. LEAD LINED ENTRANCE TO WEAR THE CORK IS PLACED. ORIGINAL CORK IS NOW INSIDE THE BARREL.
