Description

This Swedish birch tea table, circa 1890, is a graceful example of Rococo Revival craftsmanship. The shaped top twists and opens to form a near square surface, while a shallow storage well is revealed when folded and rotated. Standing on four cabriole legs that showcase the timber's grain, it has been recently restored and re-polished in our workshop, with one restored age split to a leg and minor surface marks.

ELEGANT AND BEAUTIFUL QUALITY SWEDISH FOLDING TEA TABLE MADE IN BIRCH. SHAPED TOP SURFACE WHICH TWISTS AND OPENS OUT TO FORM A NEAR SQUARE SURFACE. WHILE STILL FOLDED BUT HAVING BEEN ROTATED, A SHALLOW STORAGE WELL IS REVEALED.

STANDING ON 4 CABRIOLE SHAPED LEGS, WHICH SHOWCASE THE GRAIN OF THE TIMBER.

RECENTLY RESTORED AND RE-POLISHED IN OUR WORKSHOP, 1 RESTORED AGE SPLIT TO 1 LEG, WHICH HAS BEEN PHOTOGRAPHED.
