Description

This Victorian carved walnut toilet mirror, circa 1860, is of very good quality and quite grand proportions for its type. The original mirror plate sits in a moulded walnut frame with a swivel action that holds position well, suspended on a pair of candy twist columns above two partially concealed drawers and four flat bun feet. Retaining its original rich colour and patina, it shows only expected minor surface fading, a small loss to one support and minor plate loss to the mirror itself.

ORIGINAL MIRROR PLATE ENCASED IN A MOULDED WALNUT FRAME, SWIVEL ACTION WHICH HOLDS POSITION WELL. SUSPENDED BY A PAIR OF CANDY TWIST COLUMNS. BASE WITH 2 PARTIALLY CONCEALED DRAWERS. STANDING ON 4 FLAT BUN FEET.
