AMERICAN 19TH CENTURY ORNATE BRASS DOUBLE BED CIRCA 1880.

STANDARD DOUBLE SIZE, WITH A MATTRESS AREA OF 55″ X 76″

STUNNING EXAMPLE OF A AMERICAN, VICTORIAN PERIOD BRASS BED WHICH IS AMOUNG THE MOST SUPERIOR BEDS OF ITS KIND.

THE BED FRAME COMPRISES OF 4 SECTIONS, WITH THE HEAD AND FOOT END’S, COMPLETE WITH THE 2 SIDE RAILS. WE HAVE JUST HAD A BRAND NEW DUVAN MADE WHICH ALSO COMES WITH THE BED.

FRAME IS MADE FROM THICK AND NARROW BRASS TUBING WITH TURNED FINIAL DECORATIONS AND JUNCTIONS. EACH CORNER IS DECORATED WITH A CAST FACE, WITH ACANTHUS LEAF DETAILING AND DECORATIVE COLOURS. EACH LEG STANDING ON BRASS CASTORS.

THE BED HAS JUST BEEN FULLY RESTORED BY A PROFESSIONAL BED COMPANY, AND IS SECURE AND STURDY. ORIGINAL PATINA.
