Description

This large French copper and glass lantern, circa 1880, pairs a copper dome top with its original clear glass bowl, standing on a horseshoe-like base. A hinged bottom door once gave access for snuffing or turning out the light. The metalwork shows expected surface staining and very minor dings, and offers scope for mounting at the base or creating a bespoke free-standing base.
