LATE 18TH CENTURY SWEDISH GUSTAVIAN PAINTED CHEST OF DRAWERS, CIRCA 1790.
FINE QUALITY OAK AND PINE GUSTAVIAN PERIOD COMMODE, WITH SCRAPED BACK PAINT.
5 DRAWER CHEST WITH A SMALL DRAWER JUST BELOW THE TOP SURFACE AND 4 MORE OF EQUAL SIZE. 1 KEY OPENS THE BOTTOM DRAWER AND THE OTHER KEY OPENS THE REST. TOP DRAWER LOCK IS A LITTLE TEMPERAMENTAL, BUT THEY ARE ORIGINAL.
DENTIL FRIEZE DETAIL BELOW TOP SURFACE, CARVED COLUMNS EACH SIDE OF THE DRAWERS. ORIGINAL HANDLES ON THE SIDES, WHICH MUST BE DECORATIVE AS THEY CANNOT BE USED TO LIFT THIS PIECE BECAUSE OF THE WEIGHT.
STANDING ON BRACKET FEET.
