SUPERB BREAKFRONT BOOKCASE IN THE MANNER OF AND POSSIBLY BY GILLOWS OF LANCASTER. CONSISTING OF 6 GLAZED DOORS TO THE TOP OF THE BOOKCASE AND 6 PANELED DOORS TO THE BASE.
WHEN YOU OPEN THE PAIR OF DOORS TO THE LEFT YOU REVEAL 6 DRAWERS BEHIND. WITH FOLIO PARTITIONS TO THE RIGHT HAND SIDE.
BEHIND THE MIDDLE DOORS YOU HAVE A SECRETAIRE DRAWER WITH DRAWERS AND PIGEON HOLES. THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT AND LOVELY QUALITY BOOKCASE THAT WE THINK WAS MADE FOR THE LIVERPOOL MUSEUM IN THE SECOND QUARTER OF THE 1900S
FITTED WITH JOESPH BRAMAH LOCKS TO THE SECRETAIRE.
