DANISH 19TH CENTURY CARVED MAHOGANY ARMCHAIR IN THE BIEDERMEIER TASTE CIRCA 1880.
FINE EXAMPLE OF DANISH FURNITURE MAKING FROM THE 19TH CENTURY. MADE FROM RICH MAHOGANY VERY MUCH IN THE BIEDERMEIER STYLE. SHAPED BACK FLOWING DOWN TO THE SCROLLED ARMS, DECORATED WITH CARVED ROUNDEL AND ACANTHUS LEAF DETAIL.
STANDING ON FRONT CARVED PAW LEGS WITH SLIGHT TAPERED TO THE REAR. LATER UPHOLSTERY COVERING IN GOOD CONDITION WITH MINOR SURFACE STAINING AND WEAR.
MINOR SURFACE MARKS TO WOODWORK.
